Manufacturing Scope

Joint and pivot elements are precision-turned connecting parts that carry the rotational, oscillating and angular motion of a mechanism. They work under load in automotive tie-rod and steering links, agricultural and construction machinery, hydraulic-pneumatic cylinder eyes, robotic arms and general machine joints. This category holds 7 families and 63 types: Rod End Pin, Ball Stud, Spherical Pin, Clevis Pin, Pivot Pin, Knurled Press-Pivot Pin and Double-Threaded Ball Pin. We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum; spherical surfaces and bearing diameters are typically held to h6/g6, mating bores to H7, and critical dimensions to about ±0.01 mm. Production is completed in a single operation on the Goodway SW-20 Swiss-type lathe across a ⌀3–20 mm bar range. How are rod end pins and ball studs manufactured?

We turn them from bar in a single operation on the Goodway SW-20 Swiss-type lathe. The spherical head and the stud body are machined in the same setup; threaded ends (e.g. M5–M12) and any knurl or chamfer are completed in the same cycle. The sliding-headstock design keeps runout low on slender, long geometries, which is ideal for pins and studs.

Which materials do you manufacture in?

Steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. Load-bearing joint and pivot pins are usually steel or stainless; stainless for corrosive environments; brass for conductivity, wear and decorative uses; aluminum where light weight matters. We can advise on material choice based on your application.

What tolerances and surface quality do you hold?

Bearing and spherical diameters are typically held to h6/g6, mating bores to H7, and critical dimensions down to about ±0.01 mm. On request we share a measurement/inspection report for the relevant dimensions. If your requirement is unclear, we suggest tolerances based on the part's function in your drawing.

Do you produce non-standard custom sizes and threads?

Yes. The 63 standard types are a starting point; we manufacture to your technical drawing (DWG/PDF/STEP) in custom diameters, lengths, threads and ball-head sizes. Most joint and pivot geometries within the ⌀3–20 mm bar range are covered on the SW-20.

What is your minimum order quantity and lead time?

Pricing is by quote and depends on quantity, material, tolerance and the drawing. We have manufactured in Düzce, Turkey since 2009 and serve both domestic and export orders. Sample/first-article approval and the series-production plan are confirmed during the quote stage.
