Micro & Watch Parts Manufacturing (Swiss-Type CNC Turning)

⌀0.8–11.5 mm micro shafts, pivot arbors, threaded and bored micro shafts. h5/h6 tolerances, 8 families 80 types + custom sizes. Send a drawing for a quote.

Manufacturing Scope

Micro and watch parts are precision rotary components — often below a millimetre in diameter — used in watch movements, measuring instruments, medical devices, optical assemblies and miniature gearboxes. This category covers 8 families: Micro Shaft, Micro Pin, Stepped Micro Shaft, Threaded Micro Shaft, Pivot Arbor, Knurled Micro Shaft, Bored Micro Shaft and Hex-Head Micro Shaft. We machine them in steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium, with material chosen for the bearing, wear and magnetic requirements of the application. On the Goodway SW-20 sliding-headstock lathe we turn diameters from ⌀0.8 to 11.5 mm; the guide bushing supports long, slender bodies so parts stay concentric without deflection. Diameter tolerances are typically h5/h6, 6g on micro threads and H7 on bores, with ±0.01 mm targeted on critical features. Alongside the 80 catalogue types, we produce custom dimensions and tolerances directly from your technical drawing (PDF/STEP). The process starts with a quote request including the drawing and quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are micro and watch parts manufactured?

Parts are turned on a Goodway SW-20 sliding-headstock (Swiss-type) lathe. Because the moving headstock and guide bushing keep the cutting point close to the tool, long and slender parts — including sub-millimetre diameters — can be machined in a single setup without deflection. Diameter, length and tolerance features are checked during machining.

Which materials do you work with?

Steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium. The application drives the choice: steel or stainless for bearing and pivot surfaces, brass for smooth running and machinability, aluminium for light weight. Where magnetism is a constraint we suggest a stainless alloy. We machine to the material specified on your drawing.

What tolerances do you hold?

Diameter tolerances are typically h5/h6, 6g on micro threads and H7 on bores, with ±0.01 mm targeted on critical features. If you need tighter tolerances we review them against the drawing and confirm feasibility at the quotation stage.

Do you make custom-size micro parts?

Yes. The 80 catalogue types are a starting point; we produce custom parts — including diameter, length, steps, threads and tip geometry — from your PDF or STEP drawing. For undimensioned samples we can measure the part and create the drawing.

How do we get pricing and lead time?

Pricing is by quotation; we do not publish fixed figures because material, tolerance and quantity determine the price. Send the technical drawing and quantity, and we return the price and lead time together. We have manufactured in Düzce since 2009 and serve both domestic and export orders.
