The family is machined from ⌀12 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MAFA-KPV-12 at 55 mm. Besides turning, the family requires knurling. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The most slender variant is MAFA-KPV-03: 18 mm long at ⌀3 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 6.0. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.

Variants are machined to h9 tolerance; the smallest is MAFA-KPV-03 (⌀3 mm) and the largest MAFA-KPV-12 (⌀12 mm). The family includes knurled, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
