Opto-Mechanical Parts Manufacturing — Lens Holders, Lens Barrels, Aperture Rings

Lens holders, tube adapters, aperture rings, lens barrels and pinholes — 151 opto-mechanical part types. ⌀2–20 mm CNC Swiss turning, ±0.01 mm, prices on request.

Manufacturing Scope

Opto-mechanical parts are precision-turned elements that position, align and secure lenses, mirrors, apertures and detectors along the optical axis. They are used in camera and machine-vision modules, laser optics, microscope and endoscope tubes, and metrology and spectroscopy instruments. This category covers 14 families and 151 types: lens holder rings, tube adapters, aperture rings, lens barrels, adjustment rings, hexagonal mounting rings, spacer rings, pinhole apertures, optical shafts, micro-adjustment screws, mounting pins, distance rings and optical posts. They are machined from steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum, with finishes such as polishing or black anodizing applied on request. We turn them on the Goodway SW-20 Swiss-type lathe across a ⌀2–20 mm bar range, targeting h6 on outer diameters, H7 on bores and ±0.01 mm on length and spacing. Beyond the 151 catalog types, we produce custom parts from your technical drawing or sample. Share a drawing or dimensioned sketch and we'll start a quote based on material and quantity.

Length is what varies most here: from 2 mm up to 103 mm at OPTB-PST-12, a span of 101 mm inside one category — and all of it inside the machine's 207 mm single-setup limit. Across 151 variants the work is 47× thread turning, 14× hex flat milling, 103× axial bore, 3× taper turning, 70× knurling.

Tolerances span 7 classes (6H, 6g, H8, h6, h7, h8, m6) and 144 variants carry a DIN or ISO reference. The highest length-to-diameter ratio in the category belongs to OPTB-SHF-01 at L/D 6.7 — slender enough to need tailstock support on a conventional lathe.

Every part is CNC-turned to your drawing — series, small batches and custom turned parts. Send your drawing (PDF/DWG/STEP) for a quote.

As standard we machine steel, stainless steel (304/316), brass and aluminum. Aluminum is common for lightweight mounts, stainless for corrosion resistance and cleanability, and brass for low reflectivity and dimensional stability. Finishes such as polishing, black anodizing or chemical blackening can be applied on request.
