Coupling & Shaft Adapter Manufacturing

CNC Swiss-turned couplings & shaft adapters on the Goodway SW-20: 14 families, 135 types, ⌀6–20 mm. Steel, stainless, brass, aluminum. Drawing + quote.

Manufacturing Scope

Couplings and shaft adapters are precision-turned parts that join two shafts axially, bridge different diameters and transmit drive torque; they are common in robotics, automation, textile machinery, pumps and encoder assemblies. This category holds 14 families and 135 types: flexible and rigid coupling hubs, shaft adapter hubs, tapered transition hubs, knurled clamp hubs, threaded coupling hubs, hex-drive coupling adapters, reducer shafts, threaded shaft adapters, tapered and stepped hubs, flanged adapters, and hex and knurled shaft couplings. We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. Hub bores are held to H7, shaft diameters to h7–h9 and threads to 6g. Since 2009, Ayyıldız Robotics has produced these parts in Düzce, Türkiye on the Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type lathe across the ⌀6–20 mm range; alongside the 135 standard types we also manufacture to your technical drawing. Pricing is by quote — select the part, material and quantity to request one quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are couplings and shaft adapters manufactured?

Parts are machined on a Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type lathe from ⌀6–20 mm bar stock in a single operation. Features such as the hub bore, steps, tapered transition, external thread, hex drive end and knurling are produced in one setup, giving high concentricity and repeatability.

Which materials do you offer?

Steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. Selection follows the application: stainless for corrosion resistance and hygiene, brass for good machinability and conductivity, aluminum for light weight, and steel for drive hubs that need higher strength.

What tolerances do you work to?

Hub bores are made to H7 for slip/press fits, shaft and hub outer diameters to h7–h9, and threaded ends to 6g. If your drawing specifies a different tolerance, fit class or surface finish, we machine to that spec.

Do you produce custom-size couplings or adapters?

Yes. Beyond the 135 standard types, we manufacture to your own technical drawing (DXF/STEP/PDF) or sample, with custom bore diameter, steps, thread and body geometry. Share the dimensions and material and we will confirm feasibility with a quote.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

We handle everything from small prototype batches to series production; the exact minimum is stated in the quote based on part complexity and material. Lead time depends on type, quantity and material stock and is confirmed with the quote. We fulfill both domestic and export orders.
