Manufacturing Scope
Shafts are cylindrical machine elements that transmit rotation and torque and carry bearings, gears, pulleys or couplings; they act as the load-bearing axis in motors, gearboxes, encoders, pumps, textile machinery and automation equipment. This category holds 16 families and 161 part types: straight shafts (DM), stepped shafts (KM), double-stepped shafts (CK), long thin shafts (IU), ground shafts (TM), shouldered shafts (OM), tapered stepped shafts (KU), knurled splined shafts (TD), plus threaded-end, encoder, motor and gearbox output shafts and slotted/bored variants. We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium. Critical diameters are held to ISO tolerance classes such as h6 for bearing seats and H7 for fits, with general machining accuracy on the order of ±0.01 mm. Production runs on a Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type lathe across a ⌀1–20 mm diameter range; the guide bushing keeps micron-level tolerances even on long, slender shafts. The defining part here is MILA-IU-03 at L/D 15 — the slenderness a sliding-head lathe is built for. Lengths across the 161 variants run 20–150 mm, the longest being MILA-IU-12 at 150 mm, still inside the 207 mm single-setup limit. Operations: 26× thread turning, 8× hex flat milling, 10× axial bore, 20× taper turning, 20× knurling.
37 of the 161 variants reference a DIN or ISO standard; the tolerance classes in use are 6g, h5, h6, h7, h8, h9, j6.

Part Families
Shafts are turned in a single setup on a Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type (sliding-head) lathe. Because the bar is fed through a guide bushing close to the cutting point, vibration is reduced and micron-level tolerances are maintained even on long, slender shafts. Steps, shoulders, tapered ends, slots, threaded ends and knurls are machined in the same operation; bearing-seat diameters are ground to finish when required.
