Manufacturing Scope

Shafts are cylindrical machine elements that transmit rotation and torque and carry bearings, gears, pulleys or couplings; they act as the load-bearing axis in motors, gearboxes, encoders, pumps, textile machinery and automation equipment. This category holds 16 families and 161 part types: straight shafts (DM), stepped shafts (KM), double-stepped shafts (CK), long thin shafts (IU), ground shafts (TM), shouldered shafts (OM), tapered stepped shafts (KU), knurled splined shafts (TD), plus threaded-end, encoder, motor and gearbox output shafts and slotted/bored variants. We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium. Critical diameters are held to ISO tolerance classes such as h6 for bearing seats and H7 for fits, with general machining accuracy on the order of ±0.01 mm. Production runs on a Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type lathe across a ⌀3–20 mm diameter range; the guide bushing keeps micron-level tolerances even on long, slender shafts. Frequently Asked Questions

How are the shafts manufactured?

Shafts are turned in a single setup on a Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type (sliding-head) lathe. Because the bar is fed through a guide bushing close to the cutting point, vibration is reduced and micron-level tolerances are maintained even on long, slender shafts. Steps, shoulders, tapered ends, slots, threaded ends and knurls are machined in the same operation; bearing-seat diameters are ground to finish when required.

Which materials do you make shafts from?

We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminium. Material is chosen according to the load the shaft carries, the corrosion environment and the mating part: stainless steel for humid, food or medical environments, brass and aluminium where light weight and easy machining matter. If the drawing does not specify a material, we advise one based on the application.

What tolerances do you work to?

Critical diameters such as bearing and pulley seats are held to ISO tolerance classes like h6, and fit bores to H7, with general machining accuracy on the order of ±0.01 mm. Stating the required tolerance and surface-finish values on your technical drawing is important for correct production and an accurate quote.

Do you make custom shafts? Is there a minimum order quantity?

Yes. Beyond the 161 catalogued types, we manufacture custom shafts from your technical drawing or sample. We handle everything from a single-piece prototype/sample to series production; we do not impose a fixed minimum quantity — quantity and price are finalised during the quote stage.

How does the quote and delivery process work?

We have been manufacturing in Düzce, Turkey since 2009, and pricing is quote-based. Send your technical drawing (PDF/DWG) with material, quantity and tolerance details; if the diameter fits the ⌀3–20 mm range, we prepare a price and lead time. We ship domestically and export.
