Hydraulic & Pneumatic Piston Parts Manufacturing

CNC Swiss turning of hydraulic & pneumatic piston parts on the Goodway SW-20: rod ends, plunger pistons, orifices, gland nuts. 15 families, 144 types, ⌀4–20 mm. Quote by drawing.

Manufacturing Scope

These rotating parts run inside hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and are used in construction and agricultural machinery, presses and automation lines, furniture machines and general machine building. The category spans 15 families: piston rod end, pusher rod, plunger piston, adjustment spindle, spring pusher, rod eye stud, tapered guide rod, cylinder head bushing, sealing ring, guide and threaded guide bushings, orifice restrictor, throttle screw, back-up ring support and gland nut. On surfaces that directly affect sealing — such as the plunger piston and guide bushings — we hold h6/H7 fit tolerances and, where required, ±0.01 mm precision with a ground cylindrical surface. We machine steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum, turning the O-ring seat, threaded body, hex wrench flat and conic chamfer in a single setup. Production runs on the Goodway SW-20 Swiss-type lathe in the ⌀4–20 mm range. Alongside 144 standard types, we manufacture custom piston parts to your technical drawing. Pricing is by quote — specify the part, material and quantity to request one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are hydraulic piston rod ends and plunger pistons manufactured?

These parts are turned from bar stock in a single setup on the Goodway SW-20 CNC Swiss-type lathe. The threaded end, stepped body and conic chamfer are machined in the same operation; the sealing-critical cylindrical surface of the plunger piston is ground where needed to reach the required surface finish and diameter tolerance. The Swiss-type design gives runout-free, repeatable production on thin, long shafts in the ⌀4–20 mm range.

Which materials do you produce piston parts in?

Steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum are our standard materials. Pressure-bearing piston rods and plunger pistons are usually machined in tempered steel or stainless; sealing rings, orifices and guide bushings are made in brass or stainless depending on the application. We also evaluate any special material specified on your drawing.

What tolerances and precision do you work to?

On sealing and guiding surfaces we hold h6/H7 fit tolerances and, on critical diameters, ±0.01 mm where required. Threads, orifice restrictor bores and O-ring seats are machined to the tolerance and surface-finish values on the drawing. The tolerance class depends on the part, so we work from your technical drawing for the most accurate result.

Can you produce custom sizes or parts from our own drawing?

Yes. Beyond the 144 standard types, we manufacture custom piston rods, plunger pistons, orifices and bushings from your technical drawing (PDF, DWG/STEP). Without a drawing we can also work from a sample or your dimensions. We are a workshop that has handled this kind of precision turned work since 2009.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

We have no rigid minimum order quantity and produce both prototypes/samples and series runs. Lead time depends on part complexity, material sourcing and quantity, and is stated clearly in the quote. We ship domestically and export abroad from our workshop in Düzce, Turkey.
