Hex-Head Micro Shaft is a Micro & Watch Parts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀6.4–11.5 mm, lengths 20–53 mm, standard material Stainless Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀12 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MIKA-HEX-60 at 53 mm. Besides turning, the family requires hex flat milling (AF 5.5–10). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is MIKA-HEX-50: 44 mm long at ⌀9.2 mm, L/D 4.8. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.

Variants are machined to h7 tolerance; the smallest is MIKA-HEX-20 (⌀6.4 mm) and the largest MIKA-HEX-60 (⌀11.5 mm). The family includes hex-drive, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
