The family is machined from ⌀6 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MIKA-STP-60 at 68 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is MIKA-STP-15: 20 mm long at ⌀1.5 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 13.3. This ratio is the very reason sliding-head lathes exist. The guide bushing supports the bar immediately beside the cutting point, so there is no deflection; the same part chatters and drifts in diameter on a conventional lathe.
Variants are machined to h6 tolerance; the smallest is MIKA-STP-15 (⌀1.5 mm) and the largest MIKA-STP-60 (⌀6 mm). The family includes multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
