The family is machined from ⌀14 mm bar stock; its longest variant is BAGA-S84-10 at 43.9 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (7 sizes from M2 to M8). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is BAGA-S84-10: 43.9 mm long at ⌀10 mm, L/D 4.4. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.
Variants are machined to 6g tolerance; the smallest is BAGA-S84-01 (⌀3.8 mm) and the largest BAGA-S84-11 (⌀13 mm). The family includes threaded, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
