The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MILA-CK-15 at 112 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is MILA-CK-05: 48 mm long at ⌀8 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 6.0. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to h8 tolerance; the smallest is MILA-CK-04 (⌀7 mm) and the largest MILA-CK-15 (⌀20 mm). The family includes multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
