Manufacturing Scope
Cone-Tip Stepped Shaft KU is a Shafts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀6–20 mm, lengths 40–100 mm, standard material Steel (also stainless steel, brass or aluminium). Every variant's part code, dimension and tolerance is listed below; request a quote with the code you need.
The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MILA-KU-16 at 100 mm. Besides turning, the family requires taper turning. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is MILA-KU-04: 40 mm long at ⌀6 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 6.7. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to h8 tolerance; the smallest is MILA-KU-04 (⌀6 mm) and the largest MILA-KU-16 (⌀20 mm). The family includes tapered, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
