Valve Stem is a Automotive Precision Parts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀5–14 mm, lengths 24–45 mm, standard material Stainless Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀14 mm bar stock; its longest variant is OTOB-VST-14 at 45 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (M6x0.75, M8x1, M10x1, M12x1.25) and taper turning. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is OTOB-VST-06: 29 mm long at ⌀6 mm, L/D 4.8. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.

Variants are machined to h7 tolerance; the smallest is OTOB-VST-05 (⌀5 mm) and the largest OTOB-VST-14 (⌀14 mm). The family includes threaded, tapered, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
