The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is KAPA-MAD-12 at 42 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. Bores in this family run ⌀3–12 mm. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is KAPA-MAD-10: 40 mm long at ⌀18 mm, L/D 2.2. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
