Manufacturing Scope
Knurled Shaft is a Shafts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀5–16 mm, lengths 27–75 mm, standard material Stainless Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀16 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MILB-KNS-08 at 75 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (M6) and knurling. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is MILB-KNS-04: 52 mm long at ⌀8 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 6.5. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to h9, 6g tolerance classes; the smallest is MILB-KNS-01 (⌀5 mm) and the largest MILB-KNS-10 (⌀16 mm). The family includes threaded, knurled, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
