Motor Shaft is a Shafts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀6–16 mm, lengths 42–103 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀16 mm bar stock; its longest variant is MILB-MOT-10 at 103 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (M6, M8, M10) and axial drilling (⌀4.2 mm). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is MILB-MOT-01: 42 mm long at ⌀6 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 7.0. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to j6 tolerance; the smallest is MILB-MOT-01 (⌀6 mm) and the largest MILB-MOT-10 (⌀16 mm). The family includes threaded, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
