Manufacturing Scope
Taper Dowel Pin is a Pins family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀3.4–13.4 mm, lengths 20–76 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀14 mm bar stock; its longest variant is PIMA-TPR-10T at 76 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (M5, M6, M8) and taper turning. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is PIMA-TPR-06T: 52 mm long at ⌀6.8 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 7.6. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to h10 tolerance; the smallest is PIMA-TPR-03 (⌀3.4 mm) and the largest PIMA-TPR-12 (⌀13.4 mm). The family includes threaded, tapered, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
