The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is PIMB-TPT-20 at 95 mm. Besides turning, the family requires taper turning. Bores in this family run ⌀3.3–10.2 mm. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is PIMB-TPT-06: 30 mm long at ⌀6 mm, L/D 5.0. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.

Variants are machined to h10 tolerance; the smallest is PIMB-TPT-06 (⌀6 mm) and the largest PIMB-TPT-20 (⌀20 mm). The family includes tapered, bored variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
