Manufacturing Scope

Adjustment Spindle is a Hydraulic & Pneumatic Pistons family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀9.2–19.6 mm, lengths 36–82 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is HIDA-AYM-12L at 82 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (5 sizes from M5 to M12), hex flat milling (AF 8–17), knurling and axial drilling (⌀4 mm). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is HIDA-AYM-06L: 57 mm long at ⌀11.5 mm, L/D 4.9. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.

Variants are machined to 6g tolerance; the smallest is HIDA-AYM-05 (⌀9.2 mm) and the largest HIDA-AYM-12L (⌀19.6 mm). The family includes threaded, hex-drive, knurled, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
