Deviations (mm) are given for the nominal diameter according to the ISO 286-2 tables; thread tolerances (6g/6H) are to ISO 965. For custom sizes/tolerances, contact us with the part code.
Manufacturing Scope
Back-up Ring Support is a Hydraulic & Pneumatic Pistons family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 9 variants — diameters ⌀11–20 mm, lengths 5–8 mm, standard material Steel (also stainless steel, brass or aluminium). Every variant's part code, dimension and tolerance is listed below; request a quote with the code you need.
The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is HIDB-BUR-15 at 8 mm. Besides turning, the family requires taper turning. Bores in this family run ⌀6–16 mm. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is HIDB-BUR-06: 5 mm long at ⌀11 mm, L/D 0.5. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to H8 tolerance; the smallest is HIDB-BUR-06 (⌀11 mm) and the largest HIDB-BUR-16 (⌀20 mm). The family includes tapered, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
