The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is KALA-RPP-08 at 140 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is KALA-RPP-01: 66 mm long at ⌀8 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 8.3. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to h7 tolerance; the smallest is KALA-RPP-01 (⌀8 mm) and the largest KALA-RPP-08 (⌀20 mm). The family includes multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
