The family is machined from ⌀16 mm bar stock; its longest variant is KALA-NEP-09 at 123 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The most slender variant is KALA-NEP-02: 49 mm long at ⌀4 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 12.3. This ratio is the very reason sliding-head lathes exist. The guide bushing supports the bar immediately beside the cutting point, so there is no deflection; the same part chatters and drifts in diameter on a conventional lathe.

Variants are machined to h6 tolerance; the smallest is KALA-NEP-01 (⌀3 mm) and the largest KALA-NEP-09 (⌀15 mm). The family includes multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
