Pinhole Aperture is a Opto-Mechanical Parts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 11 variants — diameters ⌀6–20 mm, lengths 2–5.5 mm, standard material Aluminium (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is OPTB-PIN-07 at 5.5 mm. Besides turning, the family requires knurling and axial drilling (⌀0.5–4 mm). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is OPTB-PIN-07: 5.5 mm long at ⌀14 mm, L/D 0.4. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to h7 tolerance; the smallest is OPTB-PIN-01 (⌀6 mm) and the largest OPTB-PIN-11 (⌀20 mm). The family includes knurled, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
