Mounting Pin is a Opto-Mechanical Parts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 12 variants — diameters ⌀2–12 mm, lengths 10–35 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀12 mm bar stock; its longest variant is OPTB-MPN-12 at 35 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (M4, M6) and taper turning. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is OPTB-MPN-01: 10 mm long at ⌀2 mm, L/D 5.0. This ratio is achievable on a conventional lathe as well; the sliding-head advantage in series work is that the part never leaves the machine, so the size does not drift from variant to variant.

Variants are machined to m6, 6g tolerance classes; the smallest is OPTB-MPN-01 (⌀2 mm) and the largest OPTB-MPN-12 (⌀12 mm). The family includes threaded, tapered, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
