Lens Retaining Ring is a Opto-Mechanical Parts family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀9–20 mm, lengths 5–9 mm, standard material Aluminium (also steel, stainless steel or brass). Every variant's part code, dimension and tolerance is listed below; request a quote with the code you need.
The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is OPTA-LRR-17 at 9 mm. Besides turning, the family requires knurling. Bores in this family run ⌀6–17 mm. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is OPTA-LRR-06: 5 mm long at ⌀9 mm, L/D 0.6. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to 6H tolerance; the smallest is OPTA-LRR-06 (⌀9 mm) and the largest OPTA-LRR-17 (⌀20 mm). The family includes knurled, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
