Hex-Body Thread Adapter is a Nuts & Adapters family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀8.1–19.6 mm, lengths 13–29 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is SOMB-HDA-10 at 29 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (6 sizes from M4 to M12), hex flat milling (AF 7–17) and axial drilling (⌀2.5–8.5 mm). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is SOMB-HDA-02: 16 mm long at ⌀9.2 mm, L/D 1.7. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to 6g tolerance; the smallest is SOMB-HDA-01 (⌀8.1 mm) and the largest SOMB-HDA-10 (⌀19.6 mm). The family includes threaded, hex-drive, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
