Hex Transition Nipple is a Nuts & Adapters family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀8.1–19.6 mm, lengths 19–42 mm, standard material Steel (also steel, stainless, brass or aluminium). The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is SOMB-GNP-09 at 42 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (6 sizes from M3 to M10) and hex flat milling (AF 7–17). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is SOMB-GNP-02: 24 mm long at ⌀9.2 mm, L/D 2.6. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to 6g tolerance; the smallest is SOMB-GNP-01 (⌀8.1 mm) and the largest SOMB-GNP-09 (⌀19.6 mm). The family includes threaded, hex-drive, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
