Manufacturing Scope
Knurled Transition Nipple is a Nuts & Adapters family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 10 variants — diameters ⌀8–20 mm, lengths 20–42 mm, standard material Aluminium (also steel, stainless steel or brass). Every variant's part code, dimension and tolerance is listed below; request a quote with the code you need.
The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is SOMB-TNP-09 at 42 mm. Besides turning, the family requires thread turning (6 sizes from M3 to M10) and knurling. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is SOMB-TNP-02: 25 mm long at ⌀9 mm, L/D 2.8. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.
Variants are machined to 6g tolerance; the smallest is SOMB-TNP-01 (⌀8 mm) and the largest SOMB-TNP-10 (⌀20 mm). The family includes threaded, knurled, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
