Deviations (mm) are given for the nominal diameter according to the ISO 286-2 tables; thread tolerances (6g/6H) are to ISO 965. For custom sizes/tolerances, contact us with the part code.
Manufacturing Scope
Tapered-Tip Standoff (Locating) is a Spacers & Standoffs family precision-turned on a Goodway SW-20, covering 12 variants — diameters ⌀6–16 mm, lengths 14–56 mm, standard material Stainless Steel (also steel, brass or aluminium). Every variant's part code, dimension and tolerance is listed below; request a quote with the code you need.
The family is machined from ⌀16 mm bar stock; its longest variant is ARAB-TCS-12 at 56 mm. Besides turning, the family requires taper turning and axial drilling (⌀2.5–6.8 mm). All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.
The most slender variant is ARAB-TCS-03: 36 mm long at ⌀6 mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 6.0. A part this slender needs tailstock support on a conventional lathe. On a sliding-head lathe the guide bushing holds the bar right next to the cutting edge, so the part is machined without a centre.
Variants are machined to 6H tolerance; the smallest is ARAB-TCS-01 (⌀6 mm) and the largest ARAB-TCS-12 (⌀16 mm). The family includes tapered, bored, multi-step variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
