The family is machined from ⌀20 mm bar stock; its longest variant is ARAT-THN-20 at 3 mm. The family is produced by turning alone. Bores in this family run ⌀3.2–10.5 mm. All of it is completed in a single setup, without the part leaving the machine.

The variant with the highest length-to-diameter ratio is ARAT-THN-05: 1 mm long at ⌀5 mm, L/D 0.2. A short, rigid body: what governs the result here is not deflection but diameter tolerance and surface finish.

Variants are machined to h8 tolerance; the smallest is ARAT-THN-05 (⌀5 mm) and the largest ARAT-THN-20 (⌀20 mm). The family includes bored variants. Custom sizes, tolerances or materials are produced to the part code on request.
